The Perrin Hautes-Cotes de Nuits is from vines in and around Ladoix, including the "Clos des Fourches," a tiny parcel above Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Clos de la Marechale." The 2023 is a medium garnet in the glass with some brambly dark cherry fruit and hints of earth, with some black pepper spice coming through on the palate. There's nice density and bright firm acidity with a kiss of tannic grip and a lingering mineral finish. Drinking great now but could age a few years in the cellar, best served at celler temp.
