Roagna 2020 Barbaresco Gallina

One of the estate's newer vineyards starting with the 2014 vintage and a welcome addition to the holdings. Gallina has always been well known for the incredibly elegant wines it produces with its high quality sandy soils intermixed with calcareous marl and open exposures. Fermentation lasts ten days in large wood casks. They ferment with a pied de cuvee made from their indigenous yeasts. They then use the technique of submerged cap ("cappello sommerso") -- which can last 60-70 days.
