Florez 2023 The Pope's Smoke Grenache

This is 100% Grenache which comes mostly from Stiletto Vineyard, done in a semi-carbonic style and aged in neutral French oak. Inspired by a mind-opening experience James had with 2005 Chateau Rayas Grenache, it's an expressive and buoyant wine that showcases beautiful texture and a seamless combination of brambly fruit, herbal spice, and earthy undertones. The balance of vibrant acidity and fine tannins make it great for the dinner table, and it develops nicely in the glass over the course of a meal.
