Vallana 2016 VdT Campi Raudii

100% Spanna (local term for Nebbiolo) fermented all in cement with 3 pumpovers a day. 2016 was a benchmark vintage of the region and this wine reflects that. Still young with tons of energy and vitality, kirsch fruit and minerality present beautifully on the nose. Taking a sip reveals the fresh character of the wine. The kirsch on the nose shines through to the palate, accompanied by rose and herbs. The wine is ready to drink now, with potential to gain finesse and grace with more time in the bottle. - KG
