100% Grillo. A méthode traditionelle or metodo classico wine from the organically farmed estate vineyard in the Samperi contrada of Marsala. The Grillo vines are over 30 years old, planted on sandy, limestone-rich loam. The bunches are harvested by hand into small bins, directly and gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts. Most of the wine is vinified and aged in stainless steel, with about 20% going into French oak for a year. The base for the Terzavia "Cuvée VS" is a multi-vintage blend goes into bottle with fresh must for a second fermentation and a measure of De Bartoli's aged, dry Vecchio Samperi for complexity. Cuvée VS spends at least 30 months on the lees before being disgorged by hand. Zero dosage. The current edition was bottled in 2021 and disgorged in 2023. -Bowler Wine

A nutty and rich sparkling Marsala! This wine is not trying to be Champagne, its not trying to be Franciacorta, but that makes it even more worth your attention. Totally unique and completely delicious. -ML
