Eminence Road 2024 Pinot Gris Five Dots

This is all Pinot Gris from Sheldrake Point Vineyard on Cayuga Lake, east facing vines on a gentle slope of gravelly loam and clay derived from shale, limestone and slate. The grapes see five days maceration and age in stainless steel for twelve months. Another delicious wine from the great 2024 vintage, this shows perfectly balanced acid, tannin and ripeness. It's textured with great depth, showing strawberry and peach fruit with a hint of pepper. It ends up just under 12% alcohol, with nice freshness and energy. For those who like a ramato style Pinot Gris, this ticks many of those same boxes.
