Brovia 2022 Barolo Brea - Vigna Ca’ Mia
This is the wine which finds the balance of both power and elegance. This is not only Brovia's only wine from Serralunga, its also a monopole and features the best & oldest vines of the estate! Deep blue and black fruit, sage, rosemary, iron, and firm yet balanced tannins. -ML
The Nebbiolo for “Ca’Mia” was planted in 1955 on a southeast-exposed part of the cru at 350 meters altitude, and Brea’s limestone-dominated soils—in contrast to the generally sandier soils of Castiglione Falletto—yield a Barolo of titanic minerality and boisterous power. “Ca’Mia” possesses the same sense of freshness and lift as its brethren, but it is easily the most youthfully backward; ample time is required but is always rewarded hugely. -Rosenthal Wine Merchants
