Clos U Suale 2024 Patrimonio Rouge Simbiosi

Simbiosi is 90% Niellucciu with 10% Grenache grown on schist soils. The grapes see three weeks maceration. Despite the longer maceration and aging in barrique, this is a fine and elegant expression with vibrant red and blue fruit alongside some peppery spice and a hint of herbal, vegetal lift. The tannins are precise and very fine with mouthwatering acidity, medium bodied on the palate but with sneaky power. Drinking nicely now after an hour or two of air, this could be a great candidate for medium term aging, perhaps five to ten years.
