The La Grave Figeac 2022 "Pavillon" is from the estates younger vines in a parcel of sandy clay soils over limestone abutting Chateau Figeac, near the Pomerol border. It's plummy and deep and shows some darker fruit but with youthful energy, still structured but with a velvety texture and smooth tannins. There's some spice at the back end and the finish is long and unctuous. This is a great wine to drink now but could also age another five years with ease.
