Navarre 2025 Vin de France Terret Blanc

Terret was a widely planted grape in the Languedoc but it has been almost entirely replaced by more modern varieties. Thierry Navarre and a few others still produce wines from this unusual grape (Terret Gris, not Terret Blanc) and we're happy to have it at CSW. The color is pale gold, the aromas are of Provençal herbs and smoky white fruits with strong notes of stone and minerals. The acidity is quite high, giving the wine an intense and long finish despite the low alcohol. A nice apéritif and a good accompaniment to cheeses, seafood stews, fried fish, melon and prosciutto...
