Finot, Thomas 2023 Coteaux Gresivaudan Etraire de la Dhuy
Étraire de la Dhuy is a rare grape from the Vallé du Grésivaudan in the Isère, with only about 6 hectares currently in production. The 2023 Finot Étraire de la Dhuy is from a parcel of 70 year-old massale selection vines, with some new plantation, AKA Étraire de l'Aduï. According to Wine Grapes "DNA parentage analysis suggests a parent-offspring relationship between Étraire de l'Aduï and Persan. Indeed, both varieties belong to the Sérine ampelographic group." The 2023 shows a bright red/black robe with vivid aromas of blackberry and morello cherry, with bright floral and citrus notes. The palate is deep, dense and bright with vibrant black fruits that linger on the palate with a refreshing and lovely finish. Delicious and unusual, stump your sommelier friends with this beautiful wine!
