Jobard, Claudie 2022 Rully 1er Cru "Les Cloux"

The Claudie Jobard Rully 1er Cru "Les Cloux" is from a tiny parcel on the east-facing slope above the village, with very stony clay/limestone soils. This crystalline and elegant Burgundy has aromas of white flowers, peach and honey. The palate combines richness and elegance in perfect balance, with the firm acidity and intense minerality often found in wines from Rully. The 2022 has a wonderful nose, beautiful aromas of lime blossom and cream intermixed with a savory stony minerality that leaps out of the glass. The palate is direct, with bold citrus notes that leads to a lengthy structured finish. This is delicious for immediate consumption but aging for 5-10 years would yield great results. Pair with white fish, gratin dishes, or enjoy as an aperitif. Cheers! - RT
