Gahier, Michel 2022 Cremant du Jura Blanc

Gahier's Cremant is 100% Chardonnay, specifically the local mutation Melon à Queue Rouge which has red stems. It sees no dosage and spends 24 months on the lees before disgorgement, with no sulphur added at any time in its production. The vines are situated in a small plot with gravel and limestone soils in the village of Cramans, eight kilometers from Michel’s home in Montigny-lés-Arsures. It's an elegant and expressive Champagne-style bubbly with almond, apple fruit and a touch of brioche while maintaining characteristic limestone texture and minerality.
