Acidalia is one of our perennial favorites from Eminence Road, in 2023 a blend of 68% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard is on Seneca Lake with west facing gentle slopes of Honeoye silt loam and Lansing gravelly loam over shale. Grapes are macerated 13 days with 50% stem inclusion, and aged 11 months in used French Oak barrels. It ends up at just 11.3%, a light bodied, juicy red that still has some dark plum fruit and brambly spice.
