90% Côt/10% Gamay. La Guerrerie is a flat, clay-rich site co-planted with Côt, aka Malbec, and Gamay in the 1980's. Dark red/garnet color, light and lovely, very floral aromas of raspberry and blackberry that darken with aeration, with earth, white pepper and gamey notes. Deep berry, mineral and earth flavors on the palate, with a chalky texture, remarkably dense for a wine that is just under 12% alcohol. The finish is long with balanced acidity.
