Lardot 2023 Mosel Riesling Am Bach

A single vineyard Riesling from Himmelreich. All the vines are ungrafted and were planted between then 50's and 60's. In previous vintages this wine was called der Bauer but is now called Am Bach meaning 'by the stream.' The grapes are crushed and macerated overnight before pressing. Fermented in barrel on the full lees, racked onto the fine lees after 18 months and then bottled after 4 additional months of aging. This is a deeply mineral, structured, and savory Riesling with spice and incredible depth of flavor.
