Petite Baigneuse 2021 Maury Grenat
This is a regional sweet dessert wine akin to Rivesaltes or Banyuls. Alcohol here is 16.5, but it tastes like it could be a chapetilized wine from California or Australia. As luck would have it, it's a natural sweet wine, made with no additions, just Grenache grapes, a small amount of marc from said Grenache grapes, and aged in damijons in the sun for at least a year. This is a delicious wine, not overly sweet, with concentrated blackberry and black cherry fruit, that would be perfectly paired with any chocolate desert, candied nuts, or even a strong blue cheese. On it's own, served chilled, it could be a delicate dessert and a nice finish to a meal. A regional treat!
