Heresztyn-Mazzini 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes

From a blend of plots around Gevrey: Billard, Murots, La Platiere, Puits de la Barraque. Clay-limestone soils from vines planted between 1950-1995. Made with 50% whole cluster fermentation. Aged in 30% new oak for 16-18 months. This wine has incredible depth and concentration, it is spicey and earthy with nice, ripe fruit behind it. It has the sort of freshness that will drink well now but continue to allow the wine to age really well!
