Carmarans, Nicolas 2022 "12"

"12" is a special wine that Carmarans rarely makes. The vintage needs to be generous and concentrated, with a great potential for aging. In 2022, these conditions were all in place, and Nico singled out some of the wine from the Mauvais Temps parcel for longer aging. Kept in barrel an additional full year (hence the 12), this is a really lovely, deep expression of Fer Servadou, with elegant tannins and complex mineral finish. For any fan of Carmaran's wines, this is a rare treat and comes highly recommended.  -EL
