Champs de l'Abbaye 2023 Cote Chalonnaise "Gardes Ré Mi

The delicious 2023 "Les Gardes Rémi comes from a small parcel Pinot Noir vines in the Côte Chalonnaise,, planted in 1954.  "Beautiful freshness and aromatic expression" says winemaker Alain Hasard. It's definitely bursting with punchy red fruit and some oak spice on the nose, light and lovely with gorgeous aromas and enough weight to hold up to a variety of dishes while retaining ample acidity and refined tannins. It comes even more into focus after an hour or so open, and should continue to evolve nicely over the next five years.
