Vindueno is from a "single parcel of 90-year-old vines on volcanic soils in the Valle de Arriba at 1000-1200m above sea level. The vines are trained en vaso, and no chemicals are used in the vineyard" (Jose Pastor website).
Typically, the blend is around 60% Listán Prieto (aka Pais, Mision, etc.) with 40% Listán Blanco. On the palate there's silky texture, high energy and an almost Lapierre Morgon-like quality. A lovely, delicate wine, with notes of dried herbs and red fruit, and a long mineral finish.
