Hoppenot, Gregoire 2020 Fleurie Indigene

A blend of the high density young vines from Les Roches and Les Garants. The grapes undergo a 10-day maceration of whole bunches in 60 Hl concrete vats. Temperature maintained below 30°C. Daily pumping over for gentle extraction. Vinification with indigenous yeast, without SO2. Light sulfiting after malolactic fermentation. Aged 6 months in vat before bottling. The wine is incredibly juicy and ripe with a fine balance of acidity. Its playful and fresh with notes of raspberry and cherry. This is fun drinking beaujolais that would be best enjoyed with a slight chill.
