2021 Saint-Joseph Blanc “Les Oliviers:” “It was a year of diluted grapes, but it was ripe, finally – you had to harvest late, patiently – we picked this on 24, 25 and 27 September,” says Jean Gonon. We thought this showed beautifully - complex, dense, mineral, long. Thoughts of 1991. Jean opened a 2010 “Les Oliviers” which was indescribably wonderful – if you have a bottle of this, I would suggest keeping it another 5 – 10 years.
