Limited Addition 2023 Cabernet Franc Carbo

This is a delightfully juicy Cabernet Franc from Chad and Bree Stock, done using carbonic maceration. Cab Franc has become more and more popular in Oregon's Willamette Valley, becoming one of the more widely planted varietals in recent years. This bottle is a great example of why, showing a combination of earth, blueberry fruit and subtle herbs that don't veer too green, but add layers of complexity. It's best served with a slight chill, and the bit of funk present upon opening blows off nicely over the course of a glass. It's a perfect summer bbq wine, with just enough tannins to interact nicely with the lingering acidity.
