La Lagune 2019 "Moulin" Haut-Medoc

La Lagune stands out from its peers thanks to its unique terroir of gravel and silica. Organic farming since 2016, Biodynamic certification in 2021 with extensive plantings of trees and hedges in and around the vines.  The blend for the 2019 "Moulin" is younger vines of 60% Merlot, 33% Cabernet and 7% Petit Verdot, replacements are with massale selection.  2019 was a dry but good growing season with healthy vineyards and good quality grapes. Harvesting was by hand into small crates, the wine was aged for 12 months in barrel, 40% new. "The wine shows a ruby colour and  reveals a beautiful aromatic intensity with red and black fruits. The palate is elegant with a nice brightness and round tannins. The finish is long with a nice
