The 2023 Chateau Daugay Saint-Emilion Grand Cru "Rooj" is made with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. "Rooj" replaces the former "Pavillon" bottling, made in a more forward style for currrent drinking. The wine shows lovely red and black fruits, a ripe supple palate and a beautiful chalky texture from the "crasse de fer" soils. Serve this a bit cool to enjoy the youthful fruit over the next 5 years.
