Bart 2022 Pinot Noir Cote d'Or

(Arrives 9/17) A perennial favorite at Chambers Street, the Bourgogne Rouge of Pierre and Martin Bart in Marsannay always represents a great value in Pinot Noir.  The 2022 is nicely balanced despite the higher ripeness of the vintage. The wine shows aromas of morello cherry, raspberry and forest floor with hints of citrus and spice. The palate is lush and dense but quite bright with citrusy acids beneath ripe berry fruits with earth and spice flavors. Nice chalky earth and berry fruits continue in the finish. This is a lovely everyday Burgundy to enjoy slightly chilled - please decant or open an hour or two in advance.
