Cascina delle Rose 2023 Barbaresco Marcorino

Marcorino is the most recent plot acquired by the current generation, Riccardo and Davide, in 2018. They are leasing a hectar, which is split between Nebbiolo planted in 1944 and Arneis planted in 1977. Marcorino distinguishes itself from Tre Stelle and Rio Sordo for its sandier soils contributing plumper fruit and more robust structure.

Marcorino is aged in traditional Slavonian oak casks for 22 months and matured in the bottle for 6 months before release. No filtration or clarification and a single bottling.
