Jobard, Claudie 22 Montagny 1er Cru "Madeleine"

Claudie Jobard's Montagny 1er Cru is from vineyards on Bajocien and Kimmeridjan limestone, mostly in "Les Vignes sur le Clou" on the steep south-facing hill between Montagny and Buxy. The wine pops with vibrant acidity right off the bat, with lemon chiffon, crunchy white rocks and faint toasty hazelnuts wafting from the glass. Rich yet zesty with grip and body, perfectly balanced and ready to double down with any roasted white meats and fish with a buerre blanc sauce. 1er cru perfection from a lesser known appelation in the south of the Cote Chalonnaise.
