The Finca Suarez Chardonnay is a perfect Summer white, not harshly acidic, but very fresh and stony, reminiscent of a good Macon Chardonnay or Chablis. Aging is in stainless steel to preserve freshness and balance, vines are planted on alluvial, rocky soils with high percentage of calcium carbonate, giving the wine a pronounced minerality. With some time open, a very subtle roundness develops, but the overall style here is clean and just plain delightful! -EL
