The classic bottling of Cerasuolo from COS is what we consider here at Chambers Street Wines the benchmark of the appellation. A blend of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato, sourced from red soils are made up of subalpine sands composed of limestone and silica. Spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks on the skins with indigenous yeast. The majority of Nero is apparent here, giving lots of warm earth character on the nose belying its sappy dark cherry, tart black plum lifted by a spicy fresh finish. High quality winemarking here at an incredible price!
