COS 2020 Cerasuolo di Vittoria delle Bastonaca DOCG

The most ageworthy wine in the lineup the COS bottling from the Bastonaca vineyard. The parcel boasts sandy clay soils that are deeper than their sister vineyard at Fontane and rich in oxidized iron which imparts more structure to the wines. A much more serious wine than their classic Cerasuolo, a smooth entrance leads you to a core of sapid berry fruit backed by red licorice, clove and floral notes. Aged for two years in larger barrel followed by one year in concrete and then six months in the bottle. Fantastic length, give this a decant if drinking now or hold for 5-10 years.
