Bellegrave 2018 Pomerol

75% Merlot & 25% Cabernet Franc from the western edge of the Pomerol plateau outside of Libourne. Flashing a deep ruby robe, the nose is redolent of tobacco, forest floor, cassis, blackberry and black plum with allspice and clove. Structured yet supple with filligraines, velvety tannins, the medium to full body dances lightly on its feet with a surprisingly singing acidity for such a ripe vintage. An all around class act, perfect with all manner of grilled meats and hearty winter fare. - GH
