From Importer Fleet Street: The estate's parcel in Les Combettes was acquired in the 1950s by Michel Ampeau's father, Robert. It's a gently sloped site at the northern limit of Puligny-Montrachet bordering Meursault. Pneumatically pressed with fermentation and malolactic in barrels, of which 10-25% were new. Aged about 10 months in oak pièces with regular bâtonnage.

Ripping acid! Rich, bold, textural, an incredibly powerful wine.
