Though we have not tasted this cuvée from Hote, it sounded to intriguing to pass on, given our love for his classic Tavel that is majority Grenache with smaller percentage of Cinsault.
Importer's note: Mostly Cinsault (~90%) with Grenache from a small parcel on "terres blanches." A bit darker, with good richness and bitter tones but only 13% alcohol! Serious wine. Alexandre characterized 2023 as an incredible vintage, in both quality and quantity, which allowed for some new experiments, most notably this Cinsault-dominant Tavel 'Calcaire.'
