Marie-Courtin 2018 Eloquence Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut

From a tiny parcel of massale selected Chardonnay vines in Polisot comes this extremely rare release from Dominique Moreau of Marie-Courtin. It's a very dry, chiseled style of Blanc de Blancs that may remind you (as the importer's website tells us) of "a white Burgundy with bubbles" because of the kimmeridgean limestone and clay found in the southern reaches of Champagne. Like much white Burgundy, the wine is aged in barrel, helping to balance its intense, full-throttle, steely character.
