The 2022 Pachorra is all Grenache, grown on a bedrock of marble in the hills near Faugeres. The grapes are de-stemmed and undergo a short 6-day maceration. The wine shows a vivid black/purple color, with very floral deep blackberry/cherry fruit with licorice and earth, very ripe but with bright acidity. The palate is densely fruited but remains light and refreshing, with firm acidity and a bit of funk in the finish of sapid deep black fruits. Serve this vibrant natural wine with charcuterie, full-flavored cheeses, grilled meats. No added SO2, best consumed when opened.
