We haven't made a secret of our love for fine old Nebbiolo, but our passion for the wines extends to these more recent bottles - wines showing maturity while retaining some primary character - in many ways hitting the sweet spot where they will drink beautifully now, or continue to develop with age. While prices for a handful of Barolos and Barbarescos have increased a lot in the last few years, it's hard to imagine another group of wines of this quality that competes on value with this list.
