We are thrilled to be able to offer the current release of the wines of long time Chambers Street staple from Monforte, Elio Sandri.  Introduced to us many years ago by Gregory Dal Paiz, Elio and his wines have become a favorite to both us here at the shop, and our customers throughout the years. Located in Disa, which is a subzone of Perno and also the name of Sandri’s Farm: Cascina Disa, Elio adheres to an old school ideology of organic farming with his slow and gentle approach to farming and winemaking.   His vines are farmed in a minimally interventionist style, best characterized by one our most quoted philosophies by Elio: “When they’re in the vineyard I ask my workers to keep one hand in their pocket, so they don’t rush things.”

Today we have his 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo, 2022 Barbera d’Asti Superiore,2020 Barolo Perno and 2018 Barolo Riserva Perno.  With very limited quantities, we have a 3-bottle maximum for both the 2018 Barolo Perno Riserva, and 2020 Barolo Perno.  The Barolos are non-discountable and please inquire if you are interested in any additional bottles in case more becomes available.
