Vignes du Maynes 2022 Chenas Petites Pierres

Julien Guillot's 2022 Chenas is made with organic grapes from 60+ year-old vines in "Les Petites Pierres" on granite stones and clay over granite bedrock. Like many '22s from Beaujolais, the wine has lovely red fruit and is balanced on the palate. At 14% alc, this is not a "glou-glou" Beaujolais, and should improve beautifully with 3-5 years in bottle. If opened in the near future, we'd recommend serving with food rather than drinking it on its own, and there's no need to shy away from pairing this with a steak or roast.
