Maitre de Chai 2021 Sparkling Chenin Clarksburg

Made entirely of Chenin Blanc from the Wilson Vineyard just south of Clarksburg in the Sacramento River Delta, this is a traditional Méthode Champenoise sparkling wine that drinks clean and classic. The vineyard is known for producing grapes with laser-like acidity, and in this context the Chenin Blanc really shines. There's breadth and texture but it's still light and oh so refreshing, with some crisp apple and pear fruit mingling with hints of brioche and subtle wildflowers. It has wonderful acidity and a dry finish while still offering loads of pleasure. A great alternative to a classic Cremant or Champagne, and an incredible value for California sparkling!
