This young duo are rising stars in their native La Morra. 'Maffrei' is a portmanteau of 'Mascarello' and 'Frei' for brothers. When we learned they sought out a long term lease in Verduno of Pelaverga, it made perfect sense, because their style is all about fresh, mountain breezy wines that are meant to be enjoyed young.
