Landron, Jo 2018 Muscadet Sevre et Maine Le Fief du Breil

The 2018 is a beautiful wine, more forward and ripe than the 2017 - perfect for current drinking, but of course for 15 to 20 years of cellaring as well. Here's a nice review from the Wine Doctor: "This cru communal prototype from Jo Landron is sourced from vines planted on a south-facing slope of orthogneiss and quartz. The wine rested on its lees in cement cuves for 26 months. It has a smoky character on the nose, as well as layers of grilled peach on toasted vanilla. The palate is charming, fresh and bitter, with fine veins of grip and acidity. Plenty of grip at the end too. I see good potential here. The alcohol on the palate is 12%"
