Sopra il Pozzo is a smaller 1.5H subsect of Arcuria with a different soil from all the others: a continuous alternation of layers of stone and coarse sand called “rifusa.” The wine spends 1 year in large neutral barrel and followed by 6 years of bottle aging.
Very light and delicate, with blood orange and rhubarb up front and salt in the finish, with fine, weightless tannins.
