Chantal Lescure 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges Village

The Chantal Lescure Nuits-Saint-Georges village wine is assembled from three parcels on the Vosne-Romanée side ("Les Creux Friaiches Eaux," in the combe above "Aux Thoreys;" "les Tuyaux" and "les Herbues" at the foot of the slope next to Vosne-Romanée "Aux Raviolles"). Due to the small yields in 2021 the "les Damodes" parcel above the 1er Cru was also included in the village wine. This showed beautifully in January 2023, with fresh, complex, very bright, floral red fruit aromas with earth and spice, really pretty. The palate is perfectly balanced with classic earthy cherry/raspberry fruit with firm acidity and minerals in the long finish. Gorgeous wine.
