Winemaker Giulio Armani of both La Stoppa and this project, Denavolo, is a master of native Emilia-Romagna grapes. He sets the standard for what I want all orange wines to taste like. Catavela has citrus notes like lemon and orange zest, some tropical notes and orange blossoms. A short maceration of Malvasia di Candia, Ortugo, and Marsanne gives way to this light and refreshing textured orange wine.
