This bottling is an hommage to Beppe Russo's mother, Nerina. The aromatics lean towards honeysuckle, apricot, and lemon zest while the texture of the wine is lean with great tension, length, and acidity. Just beautiful!
70% Carricante from the Feudo contrada, which was farmed by ancient Greeks. Then a 30% mix of Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico, Minnella, and Coda di Volpe picked in between the Nerello Mascalese vines in San Lorenzo and Calderara Sottana. Brief skin contact to bring texture and aroma to this white wine. Fermentation and aging is mostly stainless steel, with about 1/3 in used Slavonian oak.
