One of the most historic vineyard in Neive made famous in the past by Giacosa's Santo Stefano bottling. Albesani rich limestone soils impart great structure to the wines here and some of the most long lived Barbaresco. Fermentation lasts ten days in large wood casks. They ferment with a pied de cuvee made from their indigenous yeasts. They then use the technique of submerged cap ("cappello sommerso") -- which can last 60-70 days.
