Beausejour 2022 Puisseguin Saint-Emiion "Cuvée Speciale"

The 2022 Chateau Beausejour Cuvee Speciale is 70% Merlot / 30% Cabernet Franc,  Ecocert certified organic since 1995 and they have taken this commitment to natural farming and biodiversity further, converting to biodynamics and obtaining Demeter certification. They avoid tilling the soil unless absolutely necessary, preferring to maintain a robust cover crop to encourage microbiological health and limit erosion. The wine shows a bright black/red color and lovely aromas of cassis, blackberry, violet and earth. The palate is dense and ripe, but with bright acidity as well, with red and black fruits, a bit meaty  with licorice and earth notes. The 2022 shows the beautiful ripeness and velvety palate of this excellent vintage in Bordeaux - delicious now, or with 5 to 10 years in the cellar.
