This is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, Pinot Gris and Pinot Auxerrois from sandy silt soils in Laubenhutt and Blettig, fermented in old oak casks for 8-10 months. There is no filtration and no added sulfites. It's a deep gold in the glass with some ripe pear and apple fruit, crisp and structured but lush and giving at the same time. The finish is clean and chiseled with great acidity while still having nice roundness on the palate. Subtle herbs and savory notes make it an ideal option to pair alongside seafood or poultry dishes.
